Best methodThe easiest check is a pair you already own and love. Lay them flat, smooth the fabric and measure them the same way the column is named, then compare.

Waist widthLay the leggings flat, smooth the waistband and measure straight across from edge to edge. This is half of the way round, so a 38cm waist width is a 76cm waistband relaxed.

Hip widthMeasure straight across at the widest point of the seat, edge to edge, again half of the way round.

LengthMeasure from the top of the waistband straight down the outside of the leg to the hem.

InseamMeasure from the crotch seam straight down the inside of the leg to the hem.
